Understanding Body Sizing & Perfecting Fit in Uniform

ully understanding our clients' team fit is key to delivering a product that fits well and endures the conditions that luxury uniform garments are required to go through. Behind the scenes here at Studio 104, sizing information is paramount to achieving this goal and we are constantly reviewing new data and technologies to help us perfect this.

The first step is to understand that uniform garments are usually worn more regularly and sometimes in more challenging circumstances than those bought for everyday wear. Our in depth sampling and fitting process ensures that the garments are trialled in a way that is reflective of the end use they have been designed for.

On average the development of an item of luxury uniform will go though a minimum of 3 samples, and simple measures like asking our live fitting models to bend and stretch in the garments is often the simplest tool to ensuring the perfect fit. However before we get to this stage, understanding body sizing is key to creating the right pattern and technical specifications of a luxury uniform garment.

There are many different sizing data partners that can be used, providing industry and competitor garment sizing. These companies can also provide regionally specific body sizing data which is key when we deliver worldwide to our clients. This type of information is paramount to perfecting the fit right for our customers, and is constantly re-reviewed to understand changes so we can make updates where we feel required.

Mannequins made specifically to the Studio 104 exact body measurements are also available within the studio and are used regularly as an additional tool to check fit and sizing.
