These luxury pads that will ensure well-healed guests make the most of paradise, from honeymoon-ready Maldivian retreats to A-list hangouts in Zanzibar, and a hotel in the Seychelles that’s so gorgeous guests don’t need to venture to the outer islands. Soneva Jani, Maldives
From the pioneers of barefoot luxury - Sonu and Eva Shivdasani have created a Robinson Crusoe-style getaway that is the bucket-list holiday of everyone’s dreams. The 25 luxurious overwater villas and beach reserve are connected by a winding wooden path… and each one has its own waterslide!
Spread across five islets in the northern Noonu Atoll, a surreal collection of 25 palatial neo-Victorian villas, plunging into water that’s so clear that you can see rays, mottled nudibranchs, and parrotfish from shore.
True to the Seneva principles, Jani is respectfully sustainable too, with its own recycling centre, seawater pools, organic gardens, and an open-air cinema equipped with wireless headphones so as not to disturb the nesting turtles nearby.

The Standard Huruvalhi, Maldives
Set on an enchanting private island in the pristine Lhaviyani Atoll in the Maldives, Hurawalhi Island Resort is a perfect match of serenity and excitement, comfort and adventure. This luxury resort is as brilliant as the ocean that laps against its beaches. It’s a beautiful blend of barefoot bliss and contemporary design. The Standard group of hotels is famous for a party-hard attitude and its Maldivian outpost is no exception. Daytime fun is family-oriented but builds towards adults-only abandon at the glass-floor nightclub. Astute parents can enrol off spring in thekids’ club and return for extra shut-eye to their white-on-white villa; 88 are overwater and 27 beachfront, including seven that interconnect, and six two-bedroom villas.
Huvafen Fushi, Maldives

Guests step in tune with nature, swim with turtles, and celebrate life as nature intended at the stunning Six Senses Zil Pasyon, Seychelles resort. Coral-fringed beaches and massive granite rocks create an air of drama andbeauty in this haven of perpetual summer. The resort offers boat shuttles to its larger neighbours, Praslin and La Digue yet most visitors feel little need to escape this place. Its 33 lush villas have pools and sunrise or sunset views, three cute coves, a spa built into the boulders, guided kayaking, hilltop hikes, clifftop picnics, rum tastings and cinema under the stars.

Four Seasons at Anahita, Mauritius
A secluded oasis at the edge of an idyllic lagoon on the east coast of Mauritius and lapped byturquoise waters perfect this relaxing resort is filled with lush greenery anddramatic views everywhere guests turn – from vibrant, tropical gardens to anexclusive Four Seasons Beach on Ile aux Cerfs.
