Client Fittings – The Final Stage of the Truly Bespoke Service

F

or the team here at Studio 104, one of the most enjoyable parts of a bespoke uniform project is delivering and fitting the uniform on site with our clients. The team love seeing the garments in their true setting and meeting the teams they have been created for, making it a wonderful ending to the months of work that has gone into designing and developing the garments.

The process starts by Studio 104 liaising with the client to set a date when the employees are available, and then finding a suitable space to carry out the fittings. The team then arrives a day before to set up the space and hang the garments ready for employees to try on.

The fitting itself is a wonderful and sometimes emotional experience, with many of the staff members not previously having a bespoke garment fitting before or in some cases since their wedding day.

The most recent fitting in March this year at Chatsworth House was one of the most special locations for a fitting session the team have attended so far. The staff at Chatsworth were incredibly welcoming and passionate about their roles, making the fitting really enjoyable.

The process of fitting has to encompass many factors to ensure the uniform performs to the high standards Studio 104 is known for, as the wrong fit can affect the garments when worn repeatedly over long periods of time.

Therefore, one of the key parts of the fitting is to ensure employees can move and work comfortably in their new uniform as they will be potentially wearing these garments for many hours at a time.

Once the staff members have been fitted in their new uniform, the team have pinned and taken measurements, and the employees are happy, any garments that require alterations are transported to the Studio 104 tailor in Central London for alteration and returned to the client soon after. All remaining garments are packaged up, hung and labelled, ready to be collected by the staff members.

‍For the team at Studio 104 this then completes the launch of the project into its final setting, giving our clients the truly bespoke service which Studio 104 are world-renowned for.
