“What a sincere pleasure it has been to work with a designer who takes the time to fully understand the brief and creates stunning bespoke designs.”
The bar retains a theatrical feel, the flapper dress, the Jazz Age and Art Deco spontaneity can only mean one thing, a uniform inspired by the 1920’s for the Savoy’s Beaufort Bar.
Jet black and gold oozes from the palette together with luxury velvets and satins creating an irresistible romance befitting the time. Dark and sexy, the design had to be glamorous yet not look like costume. Making a designer uniform that could also serve as a practical garment was challenging. We made the tassels and corsage removable so that every piece could be dry-cleaned.
We commissioned an English mill to design an exclusive weave and made the accessories, by hand, in-house. It’s the attention to detail that really gave this uniform the wow factor. We were able to capture the very essence of The Savoy through our bespoke uniform design that got everyone talking; even Will Smith loved our work so much he specifically asked the manager who had designed the uniform.
For Studio 104 this will always be a special project and has nostalgic feel to it as it was the first ever project that the company did. The testimonial received from Mr Macdonald at the Savoy was a catalyst in kick starting Studio 104’s journey.
The successful launch of Beaufont Bar has contributed in Studio 104 achieving extensive market coverage and closing other luxury hotels which are now part of its ever growing portfolio.
